Manchester based with International travel
Brooks Life Sciences are looking for an Electrical Technician to support the installation team in the manufacture and installation of automated storage systems.
The role will see you being based on site in Irlam, with frequent international travel to install systems at customer sites worldwide, requiring travel for several weeks at a time.

Key responsibilities:
•Follow engineering assembly drawings to assemble the electrical assemblies of automated storage units
•Perform within a team to achieve project delivery deadlines on installations at Irlam and on the customer site
•Works under general supervision on a wide range of assignments that require a substantial knowledge of the discipline or function.
•Follow established procedures, processes, or policies, but is expected to use judgment in resolving issues or recommending solutions.
•May participate in project teams or lead portions of projects.
•Provides resolutions from basic to moderately complex problems. Exercises judgment within procedures and practices in selecting methods and techniques for arriving at solutions.
•Must actively contribute to complete tasks, respect and listen to co-workers while embracing new ideas to censure project completion and the delivery of a high-quality product
Skills and Aptitude Profile:
-HNC in Electrical Engineering, City and Guilds or served apprenticeship
-Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions
-Electrical assembly of basic electrical-assemblies, control panel backplates
-Looming of interconnecting cables
-Familiar with Microsoft PC based software (Word, Excel, Outlook etc)
-Working within a Health & Safety management system
-Valid passport and UK driving License is essential
A reasonable amount of overtime may be required at times of peak workload
