Trainee Carpenter

Monday to Friday - 40 hrs per week
We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a candidate with an interest in carpentry / joinery to join an established client of ours in the Telford area. This role would be ideal for someone who has perhaps completed a carpentry or engineering qualification and is now looking to utilise the skills you have learnt. You will need to be hands-on and have a genuine interest in how things are made.
The Trainee Carpenter will be responsible for:
* Reading from engineering design drawings to fabricate products
* Working and shaping
* Laminating
* Working with MDF/ timer
* Spending time in all different roles around the company to build an overall knowledge of products
* Machine operating
* Wrapping and packing finished products ready for despatch to customers
Skills and Experience
* Must be eager and willing to learn new skills
* Must be interested in how products are made
* Must be able to use hand tools and have experience with building things at home or in education
* Computer literate and can read, write and communicate effectively
* A formal qualification in carpentry or similar is advantageous but not essential
* Any prior experience with carpentry or joinery is advantageous but not essential
