Manufacturing Technician Position Overview
Assembly Operative/ Technician required for a company who specialise in the design and manufacture of industrial ink delivery systems for digital inkjet. You will be responsible for the build and test of all the company's ink systems and all associated assemblies and sub-assemblies. It is envisaged that the successful candidate will have experience in a similar position before and be based in a commutable distance of Kettering. This role will be an electro/mechanical assembly role, and for a candidate with the right experience and skillset there will be opportunity to progress to a supervisory position.
Manufacturing Technician Position Requirements
Contribute to the creation and implementation and ensure adherence to best practice vision, company policies, processes, and procedures to aid and improve operational performance.
Build and test of ink supply systems and all associated assemblies and sub- assemblies.
Competent in following internal build instructions and test methods.
Operate all production, soldering and electrical tools and equipment including all test equipment.
Identify unit or assembly failures and provide solutions during build and final test.
Independently able to interpret test results against specification and SOP's.
Act as subject matter expert on the functioning and manufacturing process to offer improvement and cost saving ideas for assembly and test processes.
Use of various test and measurement metrology equipment.
Recording, analysing and interpretation of test results.
Coach and develop new and existing team members with all skills required to maintain and optimise production.
To have a flexible approach to ensure smooth operation of the business in other areas as and when required.

Salary dependent on experience (likely GBP24,000-GBP28,000)
