My client, a Baggage and Material Handling Systems Integrator, are looking for 2x IT Support Engineer to work at Heathrow Airport
INSIDE IR35 - GBP400-GBP450 p/day
Your responsibilities for this position will be:
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY / TASKS
Technical support to the LIVE operations of the customer solving any kind of technical issues ensuring minimum downtime of the system.
Pre-empt the technical problems in the system.
Provide functional expertise to the operational management of the customer and guide them to resolve any kind of operational issues lined with the system so as to facilitate the customer to run the operations smoothly.
Help various (specialized task force) teams of the customers by providing them the data and formatted reports to them, analysing the issues raised by them and advising the solution to them.
Administration and maintenance of the IT system and servers
The role demands a good and quick problem-solving ability.
Provide coaching and training to fellow team members and customers.
Must be hands on; be able to go to sites to fix problems, when needed.
Able to communicate clearly by phone as many problems would be dealt with in this way
Customer facing
Able to travel mainly UK, some European Germany.
Must be self motivating
Team player
Leader when required.
Shift working is an essential part of this role (systems operated 24 / 7)EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Degree level qualification in an appropriate IT field

Knowledge & Skills:
Understanding of key software technologies
MS Windows 2016
MS Windows10
Java
J2EE
Oracle
Oracle DB ADMIN abilities
Microsoft SQL
MySql
SQL Servers
Experience:
Experience in IT relating to complex sortation systems
Proficiency is being able to write SQL queries
Java able to follow the trace files for problem diagnostics
Software functional and regression testing
