Jackson Hogg are proudly supporting an exclusive client with their search for a Laboratory Technician on an initial 6 month contract with the option to become permanent.
This role would be suitable for a candidate with a Quality Inspector/Technician background in a manufacturing or engineering discipline.
Objectives
* To carry out routine tasks accurately which include sampling, testing, measuring and analysing results by following strict methodologies that are specified in the European Standard for in order to comply with the general requirements for the relevant product.
* To assist Campact Limited with analysing the products to ensure their products will meet high level of quality inline with group standards.
Duties/ Responsibilities
* To operate as a competent member of the laboratory team and to ensure that the department is maintained in a clean, tidy and organised condition at all times.
* To complete and record accurately the analysis of particleboard and derived products in accordance with the current QMS.
* To assist with the analysis of derived products to provide reliable and precise data for helping to control the manufacturing processes
* To analyse samples from the Wet Electro-Static Precipitator (WESP) and from the river outlets to ensure that legal and internal compliance of the Hexham Plant is managed and maintained in accordance to the Environment Legislation.
* To maintain an orderly and administrative section for the department, including maintaining analysis data base.
* To ensure that the operation and related tasks are conducted in a safe working manner and that any incidents/ accidents and hazards are duly reported.
