The Role - Medical Field Service Engineer
Following an imminent retirement, this market leading optical group now seeks to recruit a technically motivated and customer focused Medical Field Service Engineer, responsible for the planned preventative maintenance, service, breakdown and repair of leading edge fully networked electronic optical medical systems, with innovative products dedicated to a broad range of medical applications with include optometry, dentistry, radiotherapy, surgical microscopy, digital visualisation, neurosurgery and gynaecology.
This role is home based, and will involve travelling to hospitals, healthcare centres and medical establishments throughout the South West, ensuring that the highest levels of customer service are maintained at all times.
Your Background - Medical Field Service Engineer
Suitable candidates for this exciting role will need to possess a qualification in IT, Software, Electronics, Engineering or Science, to a minimum of ONC level, and have gained experience working in a customer facing field service or technical support environment, or be an ex HM Forces Engineer, looking for their first move into field service.
Experience of optics, lasers or ophthalmic applications would be a bonus, but not essential, as full training will be provided. Applications are encouraged from Field Service Engineers from a wide range of electronic or IT based high value capital equipment sectors, including medical device, laboratory device, pharmaceutical, semiconductor or other high value instrumentation environments.
