Role: Residential Support Workers
Location: Solihull
Pay-scale: To be confirmed

GSL Education is working with a leading Ofsted-rated Children's Residential Care Home, which is seeking Residential Support Workers to join their amazing team. The residential home is dedicated to safeguarding and place the safety and security of the children and young people at the centre of all that they do. They ensure a child-centered approach on a consistent basis. Also, provide a wrap-around service for the children which means that all support workers adopt a holistic approach.
This is an Alternative Schooling and Residential Provision which caters for children and young people with various SEN including Highly Sexualised behaviors, SEMH, Attachment Disorder, Autism, ADHD, Aggression, and those from Broken homes.
Your role:
To ensure the care and welfare of each child in placement
Follow and adhere to the placement plan for each child
To keep the children engaged and safe throughout the day by planning, managing and leading shifts
To ensure education is promoted and supported and that each child's attendance in education is maintained
To attend meetings and training as required
To be aware of Health and Safety regulations
To share the responsibility for creating a pleasant working environment
To be flexible in hours of work in order to meet the tasks required
Candidates must have their NVQ Level 2/3 Diploma in Children's and Young People Workforce. They must also have at least 6 months- 1 year of experience within Residential Childcare and/or working alongside young people.
Person Specification:
Ideally Team Teach, Mappa, Nappi or Pillars Trained (Desired but not necessary)
Would have a Clear Enhanced DBS registered to the update service (we can provide you with details on how to start a new application)
Will be able to provide a full career history and 2 referees.
