About the role

Plaxton Court enables people aged 55 plus to live in their own home, within a vibrant and active community. Its aim is to promote independence and choice, so that each individual can live the life they choose. Less than two miles from the center of Scarborough. This makes it handy for accessing the town’s many facilities and the promenade. Set in its own grounds, it enjoys an idyllic position and has panoramic views over the local countryside and out to the Scarborough coastline.

Reporting to the Chef Manager, this role will support with the planning, preparing, cooking, presentation and management of the food production, ensuring that the highest standards of quality and safety are adhered to at all times.

About you

You will have significant experience within a food production environment, with a level 2 Food Safety qualification and related qualification.

You will be able to help create nutritional and attractive menus as well as evidencing a knowledge of food trends and exceptional customer service.

We are looking for a self-motivated, good communicator who offers a reliable yet flexible approach to their work. The ability to work as part of a team is vital to this role.
