Introduction
We are currently looking for a Plant Operator to join one of the leading Waste Management specialists in the UK. Working at their Plastic Recycling Facility in Skelmersdale, the Plant Operator will be responsible for operating, inspecting and maintaining both mobile and static plant on-site involved in the movement, sorting, processing loading and unloading of Plastic Recycling Materials.
This role involves working 48 hours per week on a 3 days, 3 nights, 3 off shift pattern, please only apply is this is suitable.
The Role:
Working as a Plant Operator, you will be responsible for:
Operating, Inspecting and Maintaining Forklift and static processing plant on-site, including balers, compactors, extruders and packaging plant.
Carrying out activities to move, sort and segregate waste materials at the waste recycling facility.
Loading and unloading of materials for transport to and from the site.
Occasional cover at other areas of the site when needed.This role involves working 48 hours per week on a 3 days, 3 nights, 3 off shift pattern, please only apply is this is suitable
The Candidate
To be considered you should have experience in the below:
Operation of a Forklift in a previous position.
Valid plant operation tickets or in-house training is preferred.
Experience working in a site-based role.
Good knowledge of working in a production, processing or recycling environment.
