Role: School Partnership / Impact Officer - FULL TIME ROLE

Location: Secondary School in Camden

Contract: Fixed term - one year

Location: Secondary School in Camden, North West London

Salary range: GBP21,000 - GBP23,100 per annum depending on experience

Overview of role: Managing a team of 7 - 10 full-time volunteer's mentors.

The Impact Officer is based predominantly in a secondary school and is the initial link between school and the charity. He or she is the custodian of the charity while in the school and is responsible for managing the team as well as coordinating, monitoring and the evaluating all the activities that charity provides. The Impact Officer is the main communication link to all parties involved.

The Impact Officer is mainly school-based with regular Fridays spent at the local office for volunteer mentor Leadership and Development training. He or she reports to an office-based line manager and is responsible for the line management of up to 10 full-time school-based volunteers.

Account executive for school -Tasks will involve:

Meeting and liaising with designated school staff to discuss and identify school's requirements. Able to converse with school middle and senior leaders and respectfully hold your own in the context of using the team well and appropriately in support of school and charities ideals;
Liaising with, and acting as the link between the school and charity by maintaining regular contact with both, ensuring communication flows effectively and records are kept;
Arranging and attending meetings;
Using the charities portfolio of initiatives and collaborating with colleagues to identify solutions that meet school's brief and effectively communicate the value of such to school leaders and volunteers;
Negotiating with school about the details and schedule of delivering the campaign and appropriate deployment of the charity team in school and outside of school,
Resolving matters and knowing when to escalate more serious concerns to senior staff;
Reporting and presenting team impact to school staff and providing them with updates on the training that corps members receive from the charity;
Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of campaigns through the use of quantitative and qualitative means;
Ensure that school provide adequate and timely access to pupil data;
Working closely with other charity departments to coordinate stakeholder engagement e.g. school visits, volunteering opportunities and reports;Leadership, appraisal and development of a school team (volunteer TA's)- Tasks will involve:

Assisting with interviewing and assessing potential future volunteer mentors - under instruction and direction from the charities Recruitment department;
Ensure all team members are aware of the mission of the charity, their team, the school, and are enthusiastic about achieving it;
Modelling and enforcing the values, culture and standards of high performance;
Using the charities person-centered coaching style to provide onsite line management for the team. This will involve support with on boarding, induction, training, observation in class and feedback, performance reviews and disciplinary (if applicable);
Regular one-to-ones and team meetings with volunteers to focus activity on desired impact associated with pupils' progress and performance;
Coordination of volunteer allocation and timetabling inside and outside school;
Overseeing adherence to personal development plans, as directed and supported by our Training and Careers team, to help corps members with goal setting and S.M.A.R.T action plans regarding their future careers and personal development;
Gathering and monitoring data, both quantitative and qualitative, to measure progress and outcomes of the above;This may be a permanent fixed term position. Newly appointed post-holders will be subject to a six-month probationary period.

Location- This post is based at one of the charities partner schools and will also involve travel to the local office and related sites of work.
