As the successful Account Manager for Food Specialties Ingredients for UK and Ireland, your job role will involve customer sales, account and interaction management. You will be responsible for delivering and exceeding sales, profit targets through prospecting and leveraging on business development opportunities.
Primary products: maltodextrine, dextrose, polyols, soluble fibres
Main sectors: confectionary, food applications, savoury, baby food, flavours, beverages, dairy
Customers: Large multinationals, well-known UK brands
Required attributes, skills & experience;
Educated to degree level with proven successful Sales & Account Management experience from a similar role
Good knowledge of production processes in the food industry
An understanding of the use of polyols, sugar, proteins and starch derivatives and competitive products (other than starches) would be highly beneficial. Food technology experience would be beneficial but not essential
Exceptional sales and negotiation skills with a proven ability to prospect new customers and create new business
Entrepreneurial self-starter mindset, agile and able to build relationships and manage customers
Successful experience of managing a diverse range of customers, products and applications
Able to get insights with proactive relationships with the Customer Base
Confident, articulate and influential communication skills, with English as mother tongue. Other languages especially French advantageous but not mandatory
Strong systems and computer skills including Microsoft Excel
This unique opportunity will be permanently working from home, with the requirement of UK & international travel (when legally permitted to do so) to meet colleagues and customers.
