Salary is GBP25k basic + Bonus
Our client, a successful manufacturing company, are going from strength to strength. They are looking for experienced Counterbalance FLT Forklift Truck Operatives / Logistics Operatives with an in-date counterbalance license. This is work in the warehouse/logistics department moving heavy products and materials around with the forklift truck.
The role will also involve some machine operation work on the production line, so it would also suit someone who has experience on a production line, or as a Machine Operator / Manufacturing Operative, however this is not essential as full training will be given to someone who is mechanically minded and willing to learn.
PLEASE READ: The hours of work are a "3 shift" rota (full time, 40-hour week), on rotating early (6am - 2pm), late (2pm - 10pm) and night shifts (10pm - 6am).
Required Experience:
• FLT (Counterbalance Forklift Truck Driver) with an in-date license.
• Be mechanically minded to operate machinery,
• Experience of working in manufacturing / production / warehouse / logistics.
• You will have experience of using various hand tools.
• You will know the importance of working safely, are able to follow instructions, and learn fast whilst working to a high standard.
This role features great training with the opportunity to progress into a Machine Operator/Machinist role.
Responsibilities:
• Using an FLT in the logistics / warehouse departments.
• Operating fully automated high speed resistance welding machinery.
• Undertake machine set-up routines to facilitate product change.
• Ensure health and safety protocol is adhered to all times.
• Ensure housekeeping standards are always maintained.
