Our client, a Global Packaging Manufacturer, is currently looking for a Forklift Operator to join their well-established team for an immediate start!
As the Forklift Operator you will be working within the busy Logistics environment handling finished goods from the Production area, loading and off-loading of trailers to satisfy the demands of the business.
This is an ongoing temporary position working 37.5 hours per week working weekly alternate shifts patterns of 06:00 - 14:00 and 14:00 - 22:00. Paying a very competitive hourly rate. Overtime is also available at an enhanced rate
Main duties -
* Efficiently load or unload vehicles according to loading/unloading sheet information or as directed.
* Clear production from consolidated Despatch using double fork handling equipment.
* Scanning of finished goods using WMS (warehouse management system) APL/SAP.
* Scanning of product within the warehouse to ensure accurate stock control.
* Accurately record all required information on loading sheets.
* Monitor the conformity of product, labels, packaging, when handed over from production.
* The transfer of stock between locations both physically and correctly in the Warehouse Management System, using correct labelling and administration.
* Ensure loading of finished goods is correctly packed and ready for safe transportation.
* Packaging warehouse duties including cardboard sorting and pallet labelling.
* Ensure area of responsibility is clean, tidy and safe.
* Sound literacy and numeracy skills.
The ideal candidate will have a FLT Counter Balance Licence and a good Knowledge of APL/SAP (or alternative WMS).
You will also be required to Support the administration & unloading of all returned packaging from Customers and Ensure that all packaging materials are located on site according to their fire regulations and other duties as directed by the Supervisor.
