We are currently looking for a Process Technician to join us and support the smooth running of our Lake District Creamery.

The Role

As a Process Technician, you will review processes at our Lake District Creamery to ensure that they are being carried out as efficiently as possible.

Working closely with Engineering, Production, SHE and Technical departments, you will:

- Check and 'tune' CIPs
- Ensure cleaning is carried out effectively using minimal amounts of water and chemicals
- Carry out testing and measurement on products and equipment to ensure consistency
- Perform product loss investigations to measure and test loss
- Identify and recommend ways to reduce energy use
- Diagnose trends and provide reports of your findings

About You

To join us as a Process Technician, you will need:

- Good numerical and IT skills, including MS Word, Excel and Outlook
- An A-Level qualification in Physics, Chemistry or Mathematics (or equivalent)

Ideally, you will have around three years' experience in a processing role. An IOSH Working Safely qualification would be beneficial to your application, as would a foundation degree level qualification in Dairy Science.

Process knowledge (Dairy: cheese, whey, milk) would also be advantageous, as would previous experience in using data reporting tools such as Power BI, Quick Reports etc.

We'd like to hear from you if you've worked as a Factory Operative, Production Technician, Manufacturing Technician, Manufacturing Operative, Food Production Technician, or Production Operative.
