Job Description
* The administration officer is responsible for various tasks within the office, these include (but are not restricted) to:
* weighing customers in and out on the weighbridge, input pricing, producing tickets, and obtaining the relevant information/ID to process payment.
* Bookkeeping duties, input invoices onto the system and supporting the finance function where required.
* Arranging transport / containers for shipment, obtain relevant paperwork and management shipments from collection to destination.
* Reception duties, including directing visitors and customers on site, answering the telephone, organisation within the office to ensure good presentation, filing etc
It is desirable to have:
* a good understanding of purchased materials and classifications essential to direct customers to the relevant location within the yard for tipping or loading.
* ability to become familiar with pricing structures to compile self-bills where relevant.
* understanding of the data protection requirements and ensure the internal processes are compliant.
* ability to effectively enforce health and safety regulations for customers and visitors on site.
Skills
Must be competent in all aspects of office administration, computer skills required to use word, excel and outlook. Training provided for internal weighbridge software.
Good telephone manner and a friendly persona a must to ensure customers feel comfortable and confident with the service they receive. Ability to multi-task and to stay calm and focused under pressure is essential
