About the role

Our client was first formed in 1994. They celebrated their 20th anniversary in 2014 and continue to provide high quality and affordable homes to rent and buy. Today, they operate in Essex and East London and locally manage over 10,000 homes with plans in place to deliver more than 1,000 new homes as part of an ambitious three-year strategy.

 

They pride themselves on providing excellent customer services, and they need ambitious, career minded individuals with a ‘can do’ attitude to deliver these services to their residents.

 

They are looking to recruit a Estate Services Home Ownership Manager who will act as the link with Hera/SHA for all estate services provided to blocks containing shared owners/ leaseholders (where they are in the majority).

 

Main requirements are to provide performance information to managers and residents, work with residents and managers to consult and shape the service the leaseholder requirements, attend meetings with residents to feedback on services and costs, including explanation of why costs are higher than those estimated.

 

As an Estate Services Management Team member you will work to continuously improve the service provided by all of estate services.

 

  • Responsible for developing and managing teams to ensure Estate Services provides a high-quality service.
  • To ensure that all correct programs of work are achieved and that all reporting mechanisms are achieved and correctly maintained.
  • Act as the liaison with Hera/Leasehold/Service Charge teams.
  • Responsible for monitoring the communal repairs for Hera blocks and liaise with Axis and or other contractors as required.
  • Attending resident meetings as required. Prepare annual budget costs for Hera/ Leaseholders and report on variances from these budgets.
  • In conjunction with the Head of Estates and other Estate Service Managers monitor and keep written reports for the Caretaking budget and Performance Indicators.
  • To provide information on the service provided in leasehold/hera blocks to internal / external meetings
  • A self-motivated, performance driven person with initiative to assess complex situations and make decisions quickly and effectively and deliver excellent customer service.
  • Ability to work outside of normal working hours and on occasion to attend meetings.
  • Ability to take ownership and empower others accordingly.
  • You will have good knowledge of health and safety, excellent communication skills and enjoy working as part of a high performing customer focused team.
