Are you an experienced customs broker? Are you an experienced customs broker looking for a new role? Would you be interested in becoming the first member of a new customs team being set up by a busy Freight Forwarder? This role will be a senior position meaning as the team is added to, you will be the senior figure in the team.
A global freight forwarder who have over 250 offices across 100+ countries are looking to create a new customs team based in Colnbrook to meet demand. This will compliment an existing customs team this Freight Forwarder has in place already in another office.
Whilst this company operate across the globe, they retain a family ethos and want their staff to feel part of the family.
Do you have experience of using Sequoia? It is highly preferred if you do have a working experience of using Sequoia.
Your main duties will include:
- You will be responsible for the day to day processing of customs entries, ensuring compliance with all regulations and laws etc.
- Ensure timely customs clearance of shipments
You will:
- Ensure smooth and timely customs process flow
- Understand all elements of the import and export customs process
- Processing Ocean Import and Export customs entries
- Verify documents received for import & export customs purposes and correct and compliant
- Populate data in an accurate and timely fashion on the company software system
Naturally for this role you will be able to demonstrate:
- A high level of communication skills, both written & oral
- Ability to work on your own and as a part of a team and at times requiring little or no supervision
- High level of IT skills
- Time management
- Working to deadlines and time constraints
As previously stated, it would be highly advantageous if you have experience of using Sequoia as well as Destin8
Salary & Package:
GBP30 - GBP35K basic (subject to experience)
Pension
20 days annual leave + Bank Holidays (Increases with longevity of service up to 30 days + Bank Holidays)
