Electrical Installation Lecturer

GBP30,000 - GBP32,000 (depending on experience and qualifications)

Full time, Permanent (37 hours per week)

I am currently working with a college in the area who are looking to recruit a Electrical Installation Lecturer to start with them as soon as possible. The role will be full time, permanent, at 37 working hours per week.

Overview of Role

As a Lecturer you will teach and inspire our learners delivering electrical qualifications. You will perform scheduled teaching, prepare learning materials, mark students' work, and liaise with awarding organisations and exam invigilation as required. You will also provide educational guidance, support and counselling for all students whilst participating in the marketing, planning, assessment and evaluation of course provision.

You will also liaise with other lecturers from other construction areas with regard to resources, curriculum development, student reports and other related matters, whilst completing and producing the agreed deadlines documentation such as; registers, schemes of work, records of work, course review, course analysis documentation, student reports and absence reports.

With an awareness of the importance of quality standards within lecturing, you will have knowledge of a broad range of learning needs and how to support these needs within a learning environment and demonstrate and understanding of current developments within your own specialist area. You should be open and responsive to the needs of others and be able to adapt quickly to changing circumstances and new ideas.

Essential:

* Be qualified to Level 3

* Have relevant experience within the plumbing industry and education.

* Be able to work effectively within a team delivering student based learning

* Minimum Level 2 Literacy and Numeracy or equivalent

* Communicate effectively with a range of students and staff at all levels in the College and relevant agencies.

* Hold a recognised teaching and assessor qualifications or be working towards the attainment of these.

Desirable:

* Have experience in FE or similar training environment.

* Have experience of curriculum or learning/training programme development.

Qualifications:

* Vocational Level 3 qualification

* Assessors awards A1 or D32, D33 with A1 update training

* Verifier awards V1 or D34 with V1 update training

* Certificate in Education or equivalent
