The Role:

We currently have a permanent oportunity for a reliable, hardworking and experienced FLT driver to join our sucessful Papermill team at out site in Hamilton. Reporting to the Shift Supervisor this role is a key link between our manufacturing and converting process. We are looking for someone who is driven to succeed to enhance the performance of our team. The ideal candidate will already hold a Counter Balance FLT License (full training is provided), have expierence working in a busy manufacturing setting and is able to communicate effectively.
Working on a 4 shift patern of 2 days/ 2 night 6 - 6 this role offers a work life balance as well as shift premium insentive.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

* Pick bales of pulp / converting broke, de-wire (pulp unit and single bale) and load onto conveyor in line with specified loading schedule, entering details into stock management system
* Be familiar with the functioning and automation of referent plant equipment
* Operate the de-wiring conveyor, pulper feed conveyors and steel wire baler
* Identify potential contaminants in bales and isolate
* Complete routine checks on equipment and installation in the working area and report any faults identified
* Operate equipment in accordance with training guidelines
* Maintain the equipment guaranteeing the daily functioning in line with the work instructions
* Assist with the operation and cleaning of the paper machine if required, including all tasks where trained
* Comply with all defined standards for quality, environment and Health and Safety
* To ensure a high level of housekeeping of the working area is maintained throughout the shift
* To ensure health & safety rules are adhered to
