Assystem are recruiting for an experienced IT Transition Lead to support our customers projects in Derby on a contract basis.

Role Details:
Job title: IT Transition Lead

Location: Derby

Hours: 37 hours per week (Remote Working due to covid restrictions)

Duration: December 21

Contract type: PAYE via Umbrella

Key Accountabilities include but are not limited to:

Establishes and communicates annual release calendar for products on a week by week basis
Ensures smooth handover of project or package of work to customers
Provides excellent and smooth handling of issues and maintenance
Able to assist with and lead the role in teaching customers how to interface with the new product or interface
Develops, manages and continually improves the Annual Release Cycle for a Product
Team Assists in release progress tracking and escalates and tracks impediments identified during development
Contributes to product strategy and execution alignment Manages release risks and dependencies Drives continuous improvement of the release process (automation and tooling selection/implementation
Coaching of all product team members in release disciplines
Works as part of the IaaS/PaaS team ensuring the agile/controlled release of products into production operation

What we are looking for in applications:

Degree qualified or experience in a relevant discipline
Extensive experience in software development and complex build systems
High expertise in software configuration management and software and release engineering
Knowledge of agile programming technologies and software development life cycles
Influences and gains alignment at all levels of the organization including senior leadership
Possess a high degree of technical savvy, with a keen ability to learn about new technology quickly and easily
Experience of working to a SIAM model
Well versed with ITIL

**Security clearance**
This role requires the successful candidate to hold a minimum of a Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats to that clearance
