Our client is a market-leading, multi-award-winning, mattress manufacturer based in Nottinghamshire looking to recruit a Technical Support Engineer.
Key duties and responsibilities
*
The manage the material and labour accuracy of BOM's within IFS.
*
To conduct time and motion studies.
*
To challenge standard processes within the context of efficiency gains.
*
To assist the Group Product Development Manager and Technical Managers.
*
Assist in the implementation of new products and product variation changes.
*
Answer technical questions when required by internal and external stake holders.
*
To provide training to operational teams as and when required.
*
To gain 'expert' IFS knowledge and be able to accurately and punctually prepare product codes.
*
To undertake training and qualifications as required by the role and business.
*
To manage or assist cost roll ups and associated reporting.
*
To undertake other tasks/special projects that may be reasonably requested from time to time.
*
To comply with the requirements of the Health & Safety at Work Act at all times.
Requirements
*
Excellent IT literacy, including Excel competence.
*
Experience working in multi-disciplinary/multi-skilled teams
*
Experience of Enterprise management systems
*
Experience working within a process-driven environment.
*
Familiarity with systems management
*
Continuous improvement mindset
*
Self-motivated individual
Desirable characteristics

Previous experience in a similar role
*
Direct project or process management experience
*
Familiarity/experience with BOM maintenance

IFS software knowledge
