Howdens Joinery are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join the business on a permanent basis at our large manufacturing site based at Howden, East Yorkshire.

Working within a busy Finance function and reporting to the Accounts Payable Manager your role is to ensure the accurate and timely processing of expense transactions and in doing so adhering to company policy and controls.

Role responsibilities:

- Using SAP, you will manage your time to accurately process 300+ weekly invoices
- Timely follow up on SAP Workflow process ensuring all parked transactions are cleared for payment in a timely manner.
- Processing company expenses and corporate cards, also to provide a monthly reconciliation.
- Supplier statement reconciliations
- Work towards Continuous Improvement and Best Practice by maintaining/improving relationships with internal and external customers/suppliers.
- Assist in ad hoc duties as required by the Supervisor.

We are looking for:

- Previous experience working as an Accounts Payable Clerk, ideally two years minimum
- IT Literacy, proficient in Excel spreadsheet applications and Word.
- Experience of SAP would be advantageous
