My client in Newton is currently in need of a logistic administrator.
My client is one of the UK's leading manufacturers and suppliers of a wide range of quality products for luxury marine craft and safety products and hardware.
The Role
The Logistic Administrator will work with the Despatch Team taking on all aspects of admin duties relating to export documentation, invoicing and liaising with customers regarding shipments.
Duties include but are not limited to:
* Organising shipping documents for international exports
* Booking of shipments with preferred freight forwarder
* Obtaining quotes from brokers/forwarders
* Customer liaising
* Monitoring and managing shipments on route
* Raising invoices
* Updating our system with correct information
* Assisting in the dispatch area (picking, packing and stock checks)
* Produce analysis reports on shipping services
Skills and Experience
- Must have experience in the exporting of goods, dealing with freight forwarders, customs etc
- Customs clearance knowledge (Incoterms etc)
- IT literate, use of all Microsoft Applications i.e. Word and Excel
- Excellent Administration Skills
- Customer experience
- Good Written and Oral Communication Skills
- Problem Solving Abilities
- Ability to Work and Make Decisions Under Pressure
- Time Management Skills
- People Person
- Ability to Work as Part of a Team
The salary for the role is GBP20k to GBP25k per annum working 38 hours per week Mon - Fri. The company offers a competitive holiday and pension.
