We have an exciting opportunity for a Procurement Administrator to join our busy procurement team based in our head office due to business growth. Our fast-paced procurement department is looking for an enthusiastic, proactive and organised individual to help support the project procurement on a permanent basis. This will suit a candidate looking to build upon some initial procurement/buying experience.
Your responsibilities will include:
Assist the buying team by providing professional and efficient administrative service
Manage supplier relationships and utilise for best delivery and price
Liaise with buyers, suppliers and project managers to ensure products are set up correctly and purchased within a suitable timescale from approved suppliers
Identify cost savings at any opportunity and record
Build and maintain effective working relationships with the relevant colleagues
You should have at least 6 months previous administrative experience within procurement or purchasing. Ability to plan and priorities tasks is important along with excellent communication skills. Most of all, you need to be a good team player with the ability to build relationships. Good Excel and Word is essential and exposure to Sage 200 an advantage
