Job Title: Material Scheduler

Job Purpose:

To ensure that an adequate supply of raw materials - packaging and ingredients, is readily available to meet production requirements. Producing stock reports as required and yield analysis for all raw material to relevant departments. Ensuring SAP integrity, maintaining accurate stock levels. In the absence of other members of the planning team, the Material Scheduler will assist the Planning & Logistics Manager in covering specific tasks relating to their principle duties to ensure continuity of the department.

Working as part of the planning team, this is a day based role.

Raw Materials and Packaging

Ensuring SAP integrity is maintained, supporting wastage analysis

Principal Accountabilities:

1. Analyse the production plan and stock levels to ensure availability of raw materials maintaining optimum stock levels.

2. Call off ingredients from Europe and UK as required by the production plan and liaise with hauliers to ensure timely delivery, ensuring that cold storage is arranged for any excess materials as needed.

1. Continually review and report on raw materials, yields and wastage with a view to improving utilisation and costs.

2. Ensure the correct paperwork required by Customs & Excise is generated on a timely basis, including POs and inbound deliveries through ESRM.

3. Liaise with Technical and material suppliers on raw material non-conformance issues and follow up any additional raw material requirements following returns of unusable stock.

4. Contribute to the health & safety of self and others by applying health and safety principles to the required standard whilst undertaking designated tasks.

5. Manage the requirements from 3rd storage facilities, organising loads with transport suppliers on a daily / weekly basis..

6. Facilitate and chair Supplier service review meetings.

7. Monitor and highlight high value stock adjustments for internal audits for ingredients and packaging ensuring they are conducted in line with the internal control processes and maintain SAP integrity making adjustments as needed.

8. Provide resource and support to projects relating to wastage and raw material control as and when required.

9. Ensure that daily audit checks are carried out, to ensure accurate stock levels and material usage are consumed correctly on SAP.

10. Complete weekly agency PO and analysis by department

11. Implement any necessary measures in relation to basic food hygiene.

12. Adhere by the site's Personal Hygiene Standards and practices ensuring all employees abide by the site's Personal Hygiene Standards and practices.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

* Extensive SAP knowledge is essential

* Detailed knowledge of warehouse management systems is essential

* Experience of problem solving is essential

* Knowledge of financial reporting systems is desirable

* Independent working, free thinking and the ability to influence is essential.

* Detailed knowledge of MS Office software (mainly excel, powerpoint)

* 3 years experience within a foods FMCG environment is ideal.

* A degree or equivalent qualification
