We are recruiting for a Transport Planner to join a Local Authority team. You will be dealing with the implementation of the rights of way capital projects including, pedestrian, equestrian, cycling and other improvements.
You will be required to develop and improve the public rights of way network in in the borough for the enjoyment of the community and visitors.
You will be using existing data sources; policies; rights of way database, customer contacts and stakeholders, to assist in identifying and prioritising capital improvement works according to need.
Preparing specifications and obtain quotations/tenders from approved contractors for improvement works (where the work is outside the scope of the in-house maintenance team) and to award and manage said contracts in accordance with Council's financial, procurement and other procedures.
