Cooper Lomaz are currently working exclusively with a growing organisation based near Newmarket. Our client have had some internal successes and are recruiting for a delivery focused 1st to 2nd Line Support Engineer to join a small support team where opportunities for progression are rife. You will provide the first point of contact for IT based queries, acting as an account manager and working collaboratively with senior team members to resolve issues as well as going on client sites to help with hardware installations and roll-outs. This role will be a blend of onsite and office based with a local client base around Suffolk and Cambridge.

Within the team you will deal with a range of customer enquiries and requests and provide support for all desktop used technologies. The appointed team member will maintain incident records using Help desk system and role you will manage the procurement, set-up and issue of IT equipment to employees and proactively monitor and respond to automated alerts generated by our various IT environments.

Essential experience & technical abilities: -

Windows desktop support experience in a Microsoft orientated environment
Experience or a desire to work within Infrastructure
Interest or experience in IT Security
Experience of support of printers, laptops, desktops and arranging the repair of hardware equipment with 3rd party vendors
Familiar with Microsoft technologies used at the desktop
Active Directory/Exchange/AV management experience
Full Drivers License
Preferred / likely experience & technical abilities: -

Recognised technical qualification
Knowledge of systems in use by the group
Knowledge of ITIL orientated service desk
Relevant experience & personal qualities: -

Articulate, literate and able to communicate effectively at all levels
