We're hiring for a General Labourer to join a family-run metal fabrication company based in Failsworth. Relying on traditional methods which have been tried and tested over decades, all their products are manufactured onsite which has made them one of the most established and successful wire works in the UK.
You will need experience working in a production environment, preferably within the engineering industry. We require someone with an excellent eye for detail as standards are set extremely high by the customers.
What's on offer?
* GBP8.91 per hour
* Hours: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm Monday - Friday
* Full-time, permanent role
* Immediate start
What will you be doing as a General Labourer?
* Working within a busy factory environment, you will assist the engineers by preparing and setting up necessary tools and equipment
* Assisting welders prepare metal goods ready for welding / fabricating
* Assembling and picking and packaging of completed works orders
* Prioritising workload and working to deadlines
What do you need?
* Labour experience in a manufacturing or engineering background
* Physical fitness to meet the demands of a metal manufacturing environment
* An ability to prioritise and manage tasks in a fast-paced environment
* Good communication skills
* Positive 'can do' and hardworking approach to work
What's nice to have?
* Any welding or fabrication experience or knowledge
* Experience working on stock checks in an engineering department of some form
