Junior Merchandiser
Hampshire

Role profile
Cast UK are recruiting for a Junior Merchandiser to join a well-established clothing and fashion retail brand based in Hampshire. In this role you will be joining an established team of Merchandisers ensuring that profits are maximised with minimal markdown.
Key Responsibilities
To help develop department strategies using historic analysis.
Creating a range of plans by channel and category for sales, margin, stock and markdown.
Using trade history of planned events to produce weekly sales, stock and intake.
Working closely with the team to develop a balanced and commercial range of products which meet the overall product strategy.
Plan seasonal pricing and promotions with the buying team.
Work closely with the buying team to implement supply chain strategies to develop and improve existing relationships with suppliers.
Manage stock availability in line with project and promotional launch dates.
Help to effectively motivate the merchandising team through development and appraisals.
Key Skills
A proven history of working in a Junior Merchandiser/ Merchandiser level role.
A strong understanding of all merchandising principles and systems.
Previous fashion experience is preferred.
Management and delegation skills.
Strong numeracy skills and the ability to interpret data.
Strong communication skills.
Strong presentation skills including the ability to present complex subjects to decision makers.
The ability to develop a strong understanding of customer profiles, product rage and competitors.
Remuneration
GBP27,000 - GBP28,000 + Benefits
