The Role:
Leading our Payroll, Pensions and HR Admin service team, who process high volume multiple payrolls for our clients who are mainly within the education sector across the UK. Working with clients and key suppliers to ensure the services are delivered within contractual agreements and legal timeframes.
The Payroll Services Manager will support the Head of Schools' Choice in growing the service further, and support with new client demonstrations and presentations.
Main responsibilities for the Schools' Choice Payroll Services Manager:
* To lead and manage the Schools' Choice Payroll, Pensions & HR team and systems to provide valued outsourced service.
* Responsible for managing the onboarding and offboarding of client's payrolls, which can involve TUPE legislation and timeframes and understanding differing employment terms and conditions.
* Consolidation of changes and investments in system updates.
* Accountable for leading the HR Admin team to meet HR Administration deadlines which feed into payroll cut offs for the client's payrolls.
* Embedding process changes across the team to ensure sustainability as we continue to grow. Taking on more clients outside the sector and delivering services to a more diverse customer base.
* Manage escalations of service issues effectively supporting colleagues and customers through our continuous improvement processes
* Continuously improve and evolve the workflows and activities within the service team to ensure efficient and innovative ways of working.
The Schools' Choice Payroll Services Manager will have the following behaviours:
* Passionate about payroll and delivering a high level of service to our clients.
* Enjoys leading, coaching and inspiring team members on effective payroll and pension practices
* Is naturally logically, organised and thorough with a keen eye for attention to detail.
* Comfortable with navigating payroll systems and investigating new system tasks and ways of working.
* Confident in talking with others and presenting to new clients sharing your passion of payroll and promoting our brand and the value the service brings.
The Schools' Choice Payroll Services Manager will have the following skills:
* Experience payroll professional, ideally having worked with either education payroll or complex payrolls
* Advantageous to have a CIPP or payroll equivalent qualification
* Managed others and lead a fast paced and busy team
* Great communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Self-starter who is highly organised
