Elevation Business Support are delighted to be working a procurement consultancy business based in Huddersfield, in the search for a Procurement Consultancy to join an existing team in the support of delivering improvements, transformations and value for money across the business.

You will be responsible for offering bespoke procurement solutions from tender based on individual needs, budgets and requirements. You will decide, recommend and design offering a proactive and comprehensive service and advice on all aspects of procurement.

This role is part time and based from the office ideally for 2 full days but there is some flexibility with hours of work for the right candidate.

Key duties and responsibilities will include:

- Responsible for leading the process for procuring contracts for a variety of categories
- Manage relationships between our client and their diverse range of suppliers
- Research, analyse and review client non pay expenditure
- Identify, deliver and secure savings across a wide range of spend categories including keeping various data up to date
- Exploration of current spend including benchmarking and market testing activity to consider alternative suppliers
- Review of the current procurement procedures and drafting of new policies
- Preparation of tenders and Requests for Quotation, including realistic timetables that comply with regulations
- Project manage all procurement activities
- Keeping records of savings performance vs. reported
- Drafting monthly and termly progress reports
- Ensuring compliance with Company documents, processes and presentation standards
- Identify opportunities for additional savings and arrangement of supplier meetings
- Advise and assist with the compilation, introduction and monitoring of Service Level Agreements and Key Performance Indicators
- Undertake short and long-term projects as required

Elevation Business Support would be keen to speak with candidates who have the following skills and experiences:

- Ideally you will come from a council, nhs or education procurement background
- Good verbal and written communication skills including experience in writing technical reports
- Excellent data research, collection and analysis skills, including the ability to work with and manipulate numerical data
- Proven organisational and project, planning skills
- Proven experience of supplier management and procurement
- Experience of supplier management and building
- Experience of managing the PCR 2015 procurement rules in practice
- A working knowledge of applying the PCR 2015 directives to your previous work
