Support Technician – Level 3 Apprenticeship

The Company
GK Apprenticeships is recruiting on behalf of Beever and Struthers, an award-winning firm of Chartered Accountants and Business Advisors.
They have been providing accountancy and financial advice to clients for over 100 years with offices in Manchester, Blackburn, Birmingham and London.
Beever and Struthers are now looking for a Support Technician Apprentice to join their Support Team on an 18 month apprenticeship.
What will I be doing?
As a Support Technician Apprentice, you will take on a Level 3 apprenticeship learning how to resolve all manner of internal IT queries and providing high levels of IT support.
Specifically, you will learn how to respond to, and resolve, support queries and issues involving Microsoft’s core business applications and operating systems, especially Teams and its related applications. You will also troubleshoot and support Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Intune and eventually Azure Active Directory.
Working as part of the Support Team, you will learn how to:
- Identify and correct faults and provide resolution for more complex issues
- Communicate with staff and keep them informed of impending changes and agreed upon outages
- Maintain system availability by running a software and hardware diagnostic
- Monitor the operating system
- Educate teams on the implementation of new cloud-based initiatives, providing training as required
About You
To be considered as a Support Technician Apprentice, no experience is required but it would be good if you had:
- A logical and analytical mind with the ability to find your way around new applications and software tools
- An eagerness to learn, especially around automating tasks
- An inquisitive mind into how things work and be reliable and hardworking
- Completed any Microsoft computer courses or similar which would display your interest in this field
This is a full-time role working 37.5hrs per week, Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5pm, with an hour for lunch. Please note, the IT support desk is open between 7:30am and 6pm so the successful candidate will be expected to work some shifts between these hours.
This role will require a satisfactory DBS check.

16 to 17 years - £9,009 per annum
18 to 20 years - £12,792 per annum
21 to 22 years - £16,302 per annum
