Our Client is a very successful Pharmaceutical manufacturing company. They are now seeking a Development Analyst. This position is a full-time fixed term contract for 2 years and will be based at their site in Bedford.
Job Purpose
* An opportunity has arisen to join the Analytical Development Team within the Pharmaceutical Development and Support department
* Your role as Development Analyst will involve the analysis of samples generated during product development activities, in accordance with current GxP guidelines, using analytical techniques such as HPLC, GC, TLC and titration
* The role will also involve investigational studies for existing commercial products. There may also be an element of equipment troubleshooting and maintenance required
Key Areas of Responsibility
* Assisting Analytical Development Chemists with method development and early stage validation activities.
* Liaise with the Formulation department and regularly communicate results.
* Identify and implement new technologies/ ideas to improve analytical processes within the laboratory.
* Performing general laboratory work and duties.
Qualifications / Experience
* A degree (or equivalent) in a chemistry-based discipline
* Experience in sample preparation and analytical methodology, with a good, practical knowledge of HPLC and/or GC analytical methods, preferably in a GxP pharmaceutical environment
* Ability to use computer software packages, such as chromatography data systems, LIMS and Excel, for the collection, processing and reporting of data
* Experience in the techniques of TLC and titrimetric analysis and experience of equipment troubleshooting and maintenance would be beneficial
