About Us

We are Chime Social Enterprise, a provider of leading audiology services and a centre of excellence in the South West. As an NHS Audiology Service, we represent the best of NHS hearing services.

As we're a Community Interest Company (CIC), we invest any surplus funds back into our social aims - delivering outstanding solutions to the hearing impaired.

We're now looking for two Receptionist / Administrative Officers to join us at the Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital, at the Heavitree & Wonford sites, for 12 month, maternity cover contracts.

Your Role

As a Receptionist / Administrative Officer, you'll be tasked with providing an efficient reception service for patients for audiology appointments.

Specifically, you will greet patients, handle enquiries, organise bookings, alter appointments and undertake a range of admin duties to support the smooth, harmonious running of the department.

Your role will also involve:

- Helping patients requiring batteries and hearing aid spare parts
- Inputting new referrals onto our database and waiting lists
- Booking and sending appointments
- Responding to phone enquiries and undertaking phone reviews
- Responding to any complaints in a professional, appropriate manner
- Providing cover for colleagues during periods of absence

About You

To be considered as a Receptionist / Administrative Officer, you will need:

- At a minimum, GCSEs in English & Maths at grade A* - C (or equivalent)
- Strong, professional communication skills
- The ability to work as part of a team
- A flexible approach to work

Ideally, you will have experience gained in a reception or front-of-house environment, but this isn't essential.

Please note, these are full-time roles working 37.5 hours per week 8am - 6pm over four days. You will also be required to work one Saturday in five, with a day off in lieu the following week.
