Our knowledge and experience spans many decades, evident in the work we do today to which we supply the Lithographic, Automotive, Can Body Stock and Foil Sectors of Industry. We are a 74 acre site which is located; as the name implies, in the historic town of Bridgnorth and within a 25min commute from towns such as Telford, Shrewsbury, Kidderminster and Wolverhampton, 40mins from Birmingham, Worcester, Stafford and Redditch.
Department Structure
This role sits within the Chemical Operations team within the Operations department. The Chemical Process Operator will receive instruction; and report to the Chemical Process Supervisor. The role job purpose is for the Operation, control and monitoring of water treatment plants, oil filtration processes, Airpure and WOR distillation systems.
Chemical Process Operator - General Duties and Responsibilities - training will be provided for this role for the suitable candidates
* Balancing water treatment process for optimum efficiency and operating and monitoring the reverse osmosis plants
* Once trained using initiative to resolve any issues in the waste water treatment plants/reverse osmosis/ Airpure / Oil filtration plants in a timely manner
* Transporting and maintaining levels of chemicals (inc. oils) in Chemical dept. plants
* Communicating with supervisor or manager regarding the processes Inc. ordering of chemicals, waste skips etc.
* Ensure lone working procedure is followed at all times with daily shift reporting to be sent to manager with details/problems/downtimes of each shift
* 4 hourly monitoring of WWTP2, distillation systems and general monitoring of oil filtration to be written in provided spreadsheets
* Daily emergency shower checks with log

Chemical Process Operator - Necessary Skills/Experience/Qualifications
* The ability to use/be effectively trained in the use of forklift trucks, cranes and plant machinery
* Strong communication skills with the ability to accurately describe faults and problems
* The ability to work independently with minimal supervision after initial instruction
* A strong understanding of Health and Safety requirements in the workplace
* A strong understanding maintenance procedures and technical skills with the ability to be trained in the required technical skills and knowledge

* Shift position 4 on (2 days, 2 nights) and 4 off - Overtime available
* Pension up to 7% contribution - salary sacrifice with part NI saving returned
