HR Manager

Duration: 3 months +

Location: Worksop, Nottinghamshire

Salary: cGBPup to 40,000 (depending on experience)

An experienced HR Professional is required to support an expanding consultancy business whilst recruiting for a permanent fixture. Due to the nature of the situation, we require an immediate start and ideally looking for full time support.

You will support the business in a stand-alone role by providing end to end HR support across the business.

This is a varied and challenging role which will include:

  • Providing advice and guidance to line managers on a wide range of HR issues
  • Leading on employee relations, disciplinaries, grievances, performance and absences
  • Improving, updating and developing HR processes and systems in line with legislation needs and growth requirements of the business
  • Provide support on the research, design and development of HR initiatives
  • Driving, influencing, advising and supporting the cultural and people aspects of organisational change, people processes and continuous improvement initiatives within the business in order to improve business efficiency
  • Responsibility for sourcing and arranging mandatory training for all employees
  • Ensuring that data is input accurately into HR and Payroll and records systems and controlled in accordance with legislation.
  • Own training needs analysis all the way through to evaluation for your business areas
  • Collaborating on companywide projects and initiatives
  • Maintaining meaningful and trusted relationships with key stakeholders and all employees
  • Producing presentations, monthly KPI information and regular/adhoc reports as requires. Also representing HR in departmental meetings and presentations.
  • Running workshops/briefings on people management issues, new policies, and project progress as required

This is an ideal role for either an experienced HR Manager or a HR Advisor looking to take that next step.

We are really interested in the following skills and experience:

  • You'll need to be able to use your own initiative to take ownership and work autonomously, applying critical thinking when making decisions and be able to communicate with clarity and real conviction.
  • You will ideally be at least CIPD level 5 qualified with a proven track record of working within a HR environment within small to medium sized business environments.
  • You will have a good understanding of relevant and up to date employment law and its impact in the workplace.
  • You will have the ability to use a wide range of Microsoft Office packages.
  • Knowledge of HR standards, benchmarking and performance indicators.
  • You will have experience in competency based interview and selection techniques
