Technical Manager - Food Industry
The Technical Manager in any factory is the key for effective communication and teamwork across most functions. This site needs a Technical Manager to define the technical strategy for the site heading up the team, being in close contact with the customers, reporting into the General Manager and driving the Quality and Food Safety agenda.
Your background will cover:
Technical Manager or Technical Support Manager experience in the food industry essential.
A detailed understanding of BRC compliance.
Proven ability in embedding the core principles of always being audit ready across your team and the rest of the business.
Previous experience on manufacture for retail and/or foodservice sites.
The ability to prioritise the technical workload across multiple, diverse customers.
Working to high level quality standards in food manufacturing.
Team management and evidence of leadership.
What will your days look like as the Technical Manager?
The Technical Manager on this site is a member of the Senior Team and as such has a high-profile role in the business.
Being involved, in the factory and around the team. Understanding their challenges, quality levels, hygiene management, audit preparation etc on a continual basis.
Communicating and being a visible member of the senior team and the 'go to' on site for Technical.
Your credibility, knowledge and operating with confidence and integrity to ensure vital internal relationships are built and respect is grown across all operational teams.
Constantly striving for improvements, you understand the nuances of the factory and what changes are needed in the long term for the strategic agenda and daily when a more reactive response is required.
Strategic technical planning for the business.
