CNC Machine Operator
Based at Altham, Nr Burnley
GBP10.00 - GBP12.08 p/h + Shift Allowance + Excellent Benefits.
The Senator Group is a major employer in the Burnley, Hyndburn and Blackburn area employing 1000+ staff across its Lancashire based manufacturing sites. We design and manufacture innovative office furniture which we supply to our customers worldwide.
We are currently looking to recruit a number of Panel Processing Operatives with relevant CNC experience to work within our fast-paced Desking Division. You will be responsible for supporting the machine shop in meeting production deadlines, ensuring product is delivered according to schedule by controlling the flow of products into our assembly areas.
The Role:
* To maintain open and effective communication with colleagues to identify relevant products according to schedule and deadline.
* To ensure that relevant parts transferred to assembly areas following the scanning process to ensure accurate delivery.
* To plan in advance to maximise efficiency and provide an effective process flow.
* To maintain high quality standards, ensuring product is free from damage, confidently identifying non-conformance and raising concerns with the relevant persons.
* Where required and trained to do so, operate CNC equipment in an efficient, accurate and safe manner.
* Set up and operate CNC machines to perform machine functions on production demands/ work piece.
* Accurately input control instructions to run CNC machines.
* Ensure Health & Safety legislation is compiled within a working context.
* Maintain good 5S and housekeeping.
The Person:
* Previous exp. operating CNC machines (Ideally Saw, Edge bander, Drills or BIMA's)
* Ability to work on own initiative with limited supervision.
* Strong problem solving skills and good attention to detail.
* Reliability with a can do attitude is a must with a flexible approach to working time to meet production demands.
* Effective communicator across all levels.
* High levels accuracy to produce quality work first time.
* Good practical organisational skills and computer literacy.
Working hours; alternating shifts 6am-2pm Mon - Thurs / Friday 6am - 12pm
2pm - 10pm Mon - Thurs / Friday 12pm - 6pm
