Inclusive Learning Manager
Here at South Thames College, we are now looking for an Inclusive Learning Manager to ensure inclusive support arrangements are managed effectively for all learners, including those that do not receive high needs funding. You will support the Head of Inclusive Learning in managing the overall Learning Inclusion Service to meet the College’s strategic and operational objectives within budget.
The Inclusive Learning Manager will lead, develop and manage a high quality, cost effective admissions and support service for learners requiring additional needs and work in partnership with specialist services, both internally and externally alongside curriculum colleagues, to ensure support is of a consistent high standard.
Educated to Level 3 as a minimum, the successful candidate will have proven experience of leading and managing a team to include delivering staff development training. You’ll have good working knowledge of relevant legislation such as the Equality Act 2010, Children & Families Act 2014 and SEND Code of Practice and the implications for the Learning Support Service, and have good working knowledge of support for learners with sensory impairments, social & emotional issues, mental health issues, physical disabilities and medical conditions.
A qualification in disability or a disability related field is desirable, as is experience of managing support services for learners with sensory impairments, social & emotional, mental health issues, physical disabilities and medical conditions, enhancing students success.
