SERVICE DRIVER
Purpose
Our client provides hires services to the construction and event industries. Products hired include portaloos, luxury trailer units, welfare cabins, canteens and stores. They also provide a range of services to empty and clean toilets whilst on hire and re-stock any consumables required.
The key purpose of this role is to carry out servicing duties at customer sites across the region as required.
Duties
* Carry out daily vehicle checks and ensure vehicle is fully prepared before leaving the yard
* Follow directions provided on tablet device to reach each customer site on each daily route
* Contact customer or office if necessary when locating new customer sites
* Carry out complete service to each portaloo or welfare unit including removing waste, cleaning down, refilling water and chemicals and restocking consumables as necessary
* Return to site after completing each daily round to empty waste tank, refresh water and consumable supplies ready for the next day
* Provide any adhoc support and carry out any ad-hoc tasks as may be necessary, including delivery and collection of portaloos on weekdays or weekends
Skills
* Over 21 years old (for insurance purposes) with clean driving licence held for a minimum of 2 years
* Physically fit and able to drive and work on their own initiative throughout the day
* Good communication skills in order to interact with customers and coworkers
* Good IT skills, able to use a tablet device including taking photos and making notes if necessary
* Prepared to work overtime in case of time delays and to work at weekends as required
