Kier Mechanical & Electrical (KME) are an internal MEP self-delivery business within the Kier group, supporting the internal regional businesses across the UK and the Strategic Projects business on complex and challenging projects. The business has a full design, construct and commissioning capability.

Kier Mechanical and Electrical are recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Estimator to join the passionate team in our Basingstoke office. With our diverse portfolio of projects, we are looking for an Mechanical Estimator who has a passion for the project at hand whilst also being able to work within a good and healthy team environment. We understand this approach is essential to ensure quality finished projects within budget and on time for our clients. You will be working on a portfolio of projects ranging from education, commercial, science and healthcare sectors in the value of GBP5m - GBP70m.

Job responsibilities
This role will be focused of advising and preparation of new tenders for the business. To be responsible for producing/supporting conceptual designs in sufficient detail to enable accurate and competitive costing for Tender purposes. The role will require you to manage robust and long-term relationships with internal and external clients and teams and supply chain in line with the general strategy. You will need to assist as well as manage the production of tender documents, attend pre-tender and post tender meetings and provide data as requested and work closely with our design team.
