My Client are one of the countries quickest growing food business. They operate in the sourcing, development, production, and the distribution of food products. It provides a wide range of food products for foodservice, retail, public institutions, wholesalers, and manufacturers.
They are now looking for someone to build on an existing customer base on the retail side of the business and drive forward with new business. The successful candidate will be responsible for a number of current retail accounts, and it is key that you already have experience in this sector.
They have a great range of products and this is constantly expanding.

Duties and Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain national accounts business in terms of volume and profit by range selling our products.
* Lead or contribute to achieving new retail customers whilst defending current business accounts by ensuring good working relationships are maintained with current account base.
* Working closely with the Supply Chain team through forecasting and delivery
* Financial control within budgetary remit.
* Liaise with the Credit Control department regarding outstanding invoices / debts
* Customer visits required on a National basis.
* Produce Customer Sales reports as required by the customer

PERSON SPECIFICATION
Experience
* Proven track record of profitable sales delivery and new business development essential
* Experience of selling products into the Retail Sector is essential
* 1+ years sales experience within the commercial retail sector
* Strong preference for a food industry background
Competencies
* Demonstrable knowledge of selling into the Retail Sectors
* Strong presentation skills, internally and externally
* Hands on account management skills
* Ability to build key customer relationships
* Ability to maximise selling opportunities by analysing customer needs
* Good level of IT and numeracy skills
* Ability to influence and negotiate in a confident manner, always maintaining a clear commitment to delivering business results
* Strong written communication skills
* Good organisational skills, time management and able to prioritise workloads
* The ability to engage and inspire with customers and colleagues
