Role: Hub Housing Advice & Homeless Resolution Worker
Salary: NJC SCP 11 - 22 (£21,748 - £27,041)
Hours: 37.5 per week
Location: Liverpool
The Whitechapel Centre’s mission is to prevent and resolve homelessness, social exclusion and housing poverty by providing practical, realistic, tailored support so that each person can find a route out of homelessness, maintain a home and achieve their individual potential.
We are pleased to invite applications against four exciting new opportunities to join our team and enhance the services we offer. Posts are funded for 1 year in the first instance.
Your role will involve providing comprehensive, high quality housing advice, advocacy and assistance to help resolve or prevent homelessness and housing need. A first class communicator with extensive experience of working in partnership with other professionals, agencies and stakeholders in a homelessness, housing or welfare advice setting, you will have an expert knowledge of housing legislation, first class assessment skills and a proven track record of delivering creative and innovative solutions that prevent and resolve homelessness.
Experience of providing advice and support to people about housing, substance misuse problems, domestic abuse, care and mental health services would be a distinct advantage.
