Retail and Post Office Assistant
Salary: £17,048 per annum (pro rata based on hours worked)
The role is a fixed-term, part-time position based on 21 hrs per week.
Increased hours during peak business times will be expected. In these
circumstances time in lieu will be offered. The role offers an excellent working environment and benefits package.

The Retail Team is situated in the Love Cardiff merchandise shop on the ground floor of the Students’ Union on Park Place. The team consisting of a Retail Coordinator and a number of student staff running the merchandise outlet, also includes a Post Office. Love Cardiff is open Monday – Friday 11am – 16:30pm.
What you will be doing In this role you will support the Retail Coordinator and student staff operating the shop, this will include serving customers, replenishing stock and learning the Post Office counter operation. The shop also operates an online store. The post is required to support the handling and delivery of online orders as well as maintaining a clean and safe working
environment.
Whilst the majority of the time in this role will be working in the outlet, the shop also conducts pop-up stalls around campus at key points throughout the year. This post will be required to assist the running of stalls during such events such as Freshers week, graduation and other times as specified by the Retail Coordinator.
What we are looking for
We’re looking for someone with previous retail/key holder experience who is an excellent communicator, able to provide exceptional customer service and supervise others.
The ideal candidate will be available for at least 3 full days per week and will have the flexibility to increase weekly working hours on request. Any overtime will be allocated as lieu.
