Following our exit from the European Union and as we tackle the challenges that many British businesses have been presented with as a result of COVID-19, it is imperative that we are equipped to promote UK trade and investment opportunities with the rest of the world. This is the role of the Department for International Trade (DIT) - one of Whitehall's newest departments - and a great place in which to further your career.
Here, we champion an expert, enterprising, engaged and inclusive workplace in which every member of the team plays a valuable role in delivering the best possible trade and investment policies for the UK. For the first time in 40 years we have an independent trade policy, so we are establishing Free Trade Agreements and market access, working innovatively to support British businesses in their ambitions to export and invest in 108 countries globally. Our work is fast-paced and deeply rewarding, making for a dynamic environment in which to pursue your long-term goals.
Working in the 'Foresight Team', you will develop insights around how disruptive global events - stemming from science policy, technology, political and social developments - could interact with and shape trade and investment over the next 2-20 years and identify what these mean for DIT.
We are looking for candidates with a flair for generating engaging reports that provide innovative perspectives on the future of trade based on robust analysis and eye-catching presentation of qualitative and quantitative data.
Join us, and you will play an instrumental role in delivering critical work for DITs ambitious agenda. Further enhanced by a generous benefits package and flexible working arrangements, you are sure to excel in our forward-thinking team.
