Aquilo recruitment are looking for 2 exceptional semi-skilled engineers ( machine minders) to join an established market leader growing business in the FMCG world on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern.
Job Title:
Semi-Skilled Engineer
Reportable to:
Engineering Manager
Role Responsibility:
To ensure that the Engineering Dept paperwork is up to date and the site is maintained in a good standard of condition and repair at all times, in line with company standards and customer expectations.
Key Accountability:
• Ensure all work is undertaken within current Health and Safety guidelines to safeguard all employees' wellbeing;
• Maintain good housekeeping, comply with and promote environmental policies and ensure the Company operates in compliance with relevant legislation;
• React in a timely manner to breakdowns, factory equipment repairs and maintenance;
• Completing PPM's to schedule;
• Maintenance and repair of building fabrication;
• Unloading and loading machinery;
• Data input and maintenance of Engineering Dept spreadsheets and paperwork;
• To work overtime as and when the demands of the business requires within the guidelines set out by the Working Time Regulations;
• Carry out any other duties within your remit as directed;
• Adopt 'best practice' in accordance with Company processes and procedures and adhere to Company policy guidelines
Knowledge & Ability:
• Previous Food Industry experience preferred
• Proven track record of Mechanical & Electrical fault finding (essential)
• Electrical installation
• Minimum 3 years' experience (desirable)
• Multi skilled with electrical bias (essential)
• Experience with Multivac machinery preferred
• Experience within a fast-paced production environment
• Experience with Smoking Kilns (desirable)
Education & Qualifications:
• Minimum Level 3 NVQ
• 17th Edition (desirable)
• Basic Food Hygiene
• Basic Health & Safety
Disposition:
• Ability to work independently
• Precise attention to detail
• Ability to communicate clearly & decisively
• Flexible of working hours
• Computer literate
• Methodical work attitude
• Willingness to participate in Company training
• Good interpersonal skills
