Lead Test Engineer (Automated Test)
Working on the development and implementation of next generation engineering test equipment and test processes, you will join an organisation who have a hugely diverse technical product range which is used in a range of industries across the world.
You will join a small team based in Rugby working out of a state-of-the-art facility, this is a very hands-on position, but you will head up the team and provide leadership. This is a great opportunity as they are looking to grow the team and you will be a pivotal part of the growth. This could suit an already established leader or a senior engineer with strong experience looking to take a step into leadership whilst also been hands on.
You will report to the Test Engineering Manager who is based at a different site in the south of England. You will work closely with him but overall, you will take responsibility for the test department and be required to drive the team to achieve milestones and deliver on the test kit projects to meet production objectives. They are looking for an innovative engineer who can come up with solutions and be a strong problem solver. You will need to use innovation and knowledge to develop test processes and be given freedom to implement new procedures. You will need a strong electronics background and experience in automated test, any knowledge of optics would also be beneficial.

Key Areas of Responsibility:
Support Test Engineering Manager and report on projects, highlight issues and coming up with solutions.
Dealing with day-to-day task management issues in the Test Engineering function.
Leading the team to meet targets on test kit deliverables within agreed timescales.
Work with test development engineers from R&D and introduce new test equipment to the manufacturing line.
Understanding of test software to support automated test, debugging and V&V.
Experience:
Automated test equipment and process design and implementation.
Formal Electronics qualification HND/Degree
Innovative approach to test development and problem solving.
Electronic experience of circuits and wiring for data acquisition hardware.
Leadership of a small team of experienced engineers.
Product fault finding experience and innovation in developing methods of testing for these faults
