At City College Plymouth, we are proud to offer a range of teaching, business support and Apprenticeship opportunities. As one of the country’s largest providers of quality education and training, our team of over 600 talented staff support over 12,000 students each year. We are at an exciting time in our development and constantly looking for great people to join us in our drive to become the College of the Future.

We are seeking a Lecturer/Assessor in Fabrication to join our existing teams.

You must be proficient in fabrication skills (NOT welding) to Level 3, and be able to deliver the theory in a classroom setting culminating in City & Guilds written exams.

In a practical workshop setting you will be able to deliver manual sheet metalwork developments and plate work fabrications, culminating in two Level 3 complex City & Guilds practical assignments.

In addition, in a classroom setting you will deliver Level 3 Pattern Development techniques culminating in an assignment and written exam, and Principles of Fabrication and Welding with a final exam. The ideal candidate would also need to be a qualified Assessor to deliver the NVQ to these apprentices in the workplace.

The starting date for this role is September 2021.

In addition to your salary, you can expect an annual leave entitlement of 50 days for this role, plus Bank Holidays and additional College closure days over the festive period. You will receive generous contributions towards your pension, CPD opportunities, and exclusive access to discounts at various UK attractions, restaurants, travel and theatre.
