This multi accredited firm with are currently seeking a capable general Litigation Solicitor, with experience and passion to also deal with contested probate. You will be joining their busy and profitable team, proactively continuing to develop the growing department. This is a unique opportunity to join this team.
Applicants will have strong experience dealing with litigation matters across the board, as well as experience in dealing with contentious probate. The chosen candidate must have been running a caseload independently and be involved in networking and business development.
Areas of Litigation and Contentious Probate you will be dealing with include:
Financial Provision for Dependants
Property Issues
Estoppel claims
Challenging / contesting a will
Invalid Wills
Inheritance Act Claims
Rules of Intestacy
Probate Disputes
Removal of Executors
Family Business Issues
Court of Protection matters
The ideal candidate will have:
A good honours degree followed by LPC, training contract and PSC / or a good honours degree with CILEX to Fellow level, LPC and PSC and admitted by SRA as a solicitor
Preferably at least 1 years PQE within litigation and contested probate
ACTAPS membership an advantage
Possess a strong legal background within litigation law
Experience of managing a busy, mixed caseload
Experience of case preparation
A following of own clients is desirable but not essential
Legal research and legal drafting experience
Business development and networking skills
Demonstrates and develops a high-quality level of technical expertise
