Temporary Assistant Accountant

We have an exciting new role for an Assistant Accountant to join our client in central Norwich. This role is temporary, with a strong possibility of becoming permanent. You will be working within a busy finance function, with some great colleagues for a professional, well-respected organisation.

A central location, enabling easy access on public transport.

Working closely with the Head of Finance, the role will involve the following duties:

Assist in the timely preparation of monthly financial reports including accruals, prepayments, reconciliations and journals
To monitor the financial system nominal ledger to ensure items are correctly coded and accounted for
To prepare and distribute monthly financial reports and assist with invoicing and credit control.
Assist in financial administration of various projects
Assisting with budget preparation and monitoring
Provide support during the preparation of the annual accounts
Effectively handle all queries from key budget holders, and proactively help them to manage costs in their areas of the business
To assist the Finance Manager in operating and improving internal controls within the finance function.

The successful applicant will have experience as an Accounts Assistant or Assistant Accountant or within a similar role and ideally be available to start working at short notice.
